Going back to reading #EnvironmentalPhilosophy for the last chapter in my #dissertation asking how lay people define 'nature'. I can't believe I'm about to defend my dissertation (in #environmentalPsychology) and go on the academic market when the entire academic establishment is being attacked from multiple fronts.
From hiring freezes to threats to academic freedom to replacement of core research skills with AI. Honestly holding very little hope for my future career. I don't even think passion is enough to get me through this

If you've led or attended a Power Hour for a GRC, I'd like to hear what strategies worked well and what didn't.

I'll be running one later this month. One issue I've seen in past power hours is power differentials. Specifically, PIs dominate in small-group discussions. Did you do anything to address this?
