The #CampHouseFire (#Minnesota) still burns to the north of our place, but the damage is done!

1) The cabin I used to own... Gone!

2) Our sauna... Gone!

3) My old partner was about to start a refurb on the cabin.

He recently had a shipping container dropped there and had moved a significant amount of stuff out of the cabin.

The container and its contents were unharmed!

4) The real miracle is his homestead was spared.

No details available, but I think the fire got pinched between the clearing around the buildings and the stream/bog/beaver pond behind it (left side of this picture). Based on the tracks I also think the fire crews helped keep the flames off the 100 yr old barn seen here.

Word is he has no grid power, but his solar system is at least partially functional so he can pump water, keep his fridge cold, and keep his business going while he and his wife recover.
