I find it interesting that political parties in Canada allow permanent residents, people 14 and up (and in some cases, 12 and up) to vote in their internal elections using a voting method that is not FPTP, yet locally, provincially and federally we're stuck with FPTP, a voting age of 18 and permanent residents not being able vote even in municipal elections.
