It's silly to think that any intelligent extraterrestrial beings would even remotely look like Homo sapiens.
Just look at Earth with the +9 million different species here.
Plus, any extraterrestrials who have been observing us for a while would probably wish to keep their distance from us – and especially if they knew about our leaders.
