Something I learned today at work:

- People who show me gratitude and bear witness to my quirks and basic humanity get the authentic me and I open myself up.

- People who resent my experience and push against my personality create a deadly rift, defenses go up, my Inner Critic gains the upper hand, I become a shell of their expectation and end up masking heavily.

I have dolled myself up in not just one, but two upcycled pieces 🪡 It's the last day in trauma group, so it's kinda bitter sweet. The others in the group have really helped me a lot and I think they would say the same 🩷 Luckily we have agreed to keep in contact, so that's really nice 🫶
