Hello friends and comrades! I have something special to share with you; it's my friend Alaa's story, in comic form. I'll let it speak for itself, but please share this thread.

Alaa is crowdfunding for survival. You can help: https://chuffed.org/project/125259-help-me-save-my-family-and-escape-from-gaza-to-eygpt

My friend Ahmad is having a hard time getting support recently, and he needs continual help so his family can get food. They're also saving up to get his mom out as soon as the crossings open so she can get medical treatment for her eyes. Anything helps. #directaid https://gofund.me/69f962fc

My friend @ahmadmadhoun is having a hard time with fundraising today; food is exorbitantly expensive. I'd love to see him get some help today; the situation is dire and his need is urgent. https://gofund.me/69f962fc

A word from my associate Devi, regarding Black trans activist, Ashley Diamond.

Ashley's been struggling to find consistent help, and she could use some material support to survive being unhoused in this hellscape.

Re: The tornado path in #StLouis Missouri so-called USA. #STL is a very racially segregated city, due to the history of chattel slavery during and post-Indigenous genocide and westward expansion of the settler state. These neighborhoods that the tornado hit are mostly Black and very materially neglected and deprived by the systems that exist. The area is largely out of internet access now, as well.

All that to say. These communities are in a lot of need right now. People are missing, hurt, and without shelter and food. Here are some opportunities for #directaid:

Casa Kuà on Instagram: "We’re reaching out as friends of Consuelo, a beloved member of our international community who has been unlawfully detained by German authorities since April 3rd. With no clear timeline for his release, we’re coming together to raise funds to support his survival now and his transition to stability after this unjust detention. Consuelo is a black trans man from Murcia, Spain. He moved to Berlin in 2019, hoping to build a stable life and support his mother, sister, and nieces back home. Despite facing systemic racism and underpaid labor, he worked tirelessly until his arrest. On the night of April 3rd, police stopped Consuelo without reason while he was driving. After moving his car slightly, he was handcuffed, mistreated, and arrested. He was then subjected to hours of degrading interrogation, with police repeatedly accusing him of carrying fake ID and misgendering him. He was forced to undergo invasive body checks, mocked for his gender identity, and held for additional days without access to a phone or an contact with the outside world. This treatment reflects a pattern of systemic violence against trans people, who are criminalized, disbelieved, and subjected to abuse by law enforcement. Furthermore, the charges against him are exaggerated and fabricated with false accusations. He is currently detained in the women’s unit at Pankow jail, where he is expected to remain for 3 months until trial. The unlawful detention of Consuelo is the predictable violence of a system built on anti-Blackness, colonial dispossession, and transphobic dread. The prison industrial complex does not „rehabilitate”; it disappears the marginalized, cages the poor, and enforces the gendered/racial order through brutal force. Consuelo is a kind, caring soul and important person in our community, and we believe he should not be in custody. We stand by him and aim to support him. Please consider donating if you can, every little donation and share will help. Thank you for your time and support. In Solidarity, Consuelo’s friends"

Hello! This is an associate of mine. Their son is lucky enough to have fiercely supportive parents-- they just also need the financial assistance for affirming care, because of course we live in paywall capitalist hell, and the family is already struggling with survival. Please consider sharing or giving, if it's within your capacity. Thanks!
