Sinner ha fatto sembrare la vittoria molto semplice. The Italian, world No. 2, dominates with a double 6-3 in one hour and 10 minutes and advances to the third round of the second season’s Masters 1000 tournament. He won the first, in Indian Wells: moving from California to Florida, the form seems to have remained intact.
Sinner made the victory look very simple. The serve continues to work well and he contributed with 9 aces: the Italian won 90% of the points played on his first serve. He only had to save one break point in the middle of the first set. While he took the break from Dzumhur early in the set, he then controlled the match. In fact, he could have even closed it earlier. Si parla del Jannik Sinner dominatore a Indian Wells, capace di battere Medvedev in finale e confermarsi implacabile sul cemento. Si parla meno, invece, del primo ostacolo che lo attende a Miami: Damir Dzumhur, avversario sulla carta abbordabile ma comunque da non sottovalutare per iniziare senza scosse il cammino in Florida.
Dopo il bye al primo turno, il numero due del mondo debutta nel Masters 1000 americano contro il bosniaco, numero 76 del ranking, che si è guadagnato la sfida superando al primo turno Ignacio Buse al termine di una lunga battaglia in tre set. Tra i due non ci sono precedenti: un confronto inedito che segna l’inizio del percorso di Sinner nella parte bassa del tabellone.

Instead, there’s less talk about the first obstacle that awaits him in Miami: Damir Dzumhur, an opponent considered manageable on paper, but still not to be underestimated to begin his journey in Florida without setbacks.
After receiving a bye in the first round, the world number two debuts in the American Masters 1000 against the Bosnian, ranked 76, who earned the match by defeating Ignacio Buse in the first round after a long battle over three sets. There are no previous encounters between the two; an unprecedented confrontation marking the beginning of Sinner’s path in the lower half of the draw.
