AGI - Se l'egemonia del 3-5-2 nel nostro calcio è l'effetto, e non la causa, della cronica carenza di talenti azzurri, Simone Inzaghi è uno dei tecnici che hanno saputo farne un'arma d'avanguardia, trasformando un limite in una risorsa. Dopo la terza esclusione consecutiva dai Mondiali, l'Italia si interroga anche sul modulo diventato dogma nazionale. Una gabbia al talento, secondo qualcuno. La soluzione d'emergenza alla crisi di dribbling, è la lettura più ovvia.
Da Lazio-Palermo del 2017 Simone Inzaghi non lo ha più abbandonato. È il modulo che lo ha accompagnato nella vittoria di una Coppa Italia (2018-19) e due Supercoppe Italiane (2017, 2019) in biancoceleste. Per i suoi 50 anni (li compirà il 5 aprile) il destino presenta un incrocio col destino. All'Al-Hilal guadagna circa 25 milioni a stagione, ma la rivoluzione in Figc accende le suggestioni azzurre. Il Tempo: Nazionale, il Ct Gattuso si dimette. Figc: "Prezioso contributo"

È l'ultimo tassello di una non inaspettata reazione a catena. Dopo la disfatta ai mondiali contro la Bosnia, il Ct della nazionale italiana Gattuso si è dimesso. "Con il dolore nel cuore, non avendo raggiunto l'obiettivo che ci eravamo prefissati, ritengo conclusa la mia esperienza sulla panchina della Nazionale - scrive nel comunicato della Figc - La maglia azzurra è il bene pi prezioso che esiste nel calcio, per questo è giusto agevolare sin da subito le future valutazioni tecniche". Dopo ringraziamenti, ha aggiunto: "È stato un onore poter guidare la Nazionale e farlo anche con un gruppo di ragazzi che hanno mostrato impegno e attaccamento alla maglia. Ma il ringraziamento più grande va ai tifosi, a tutti gli italiani che in questi mesi non hanno mai fatto mancare il loro amore e sostegno alla Nazionale. Sempre con l'azzurro nel cuore". 
Ringraziamenti anche da parte della Federazione, da cui recentemente il presidente Gravina si è dimesso per lo stesso motivo, che ha lodato Gattuso per il suo "prezioso contributo", con cui ha riportato "entusiasmo attorno alla Nazionale" ed è stato in grado di trasmettere a calciatori e a tutto il Paese "un grande orgoglio per la maglia azzurra"

Dopo la disfatta della nazionale italiana di Calcio per la qualificazione ai mondiali, sfumata dopo la sfida persa contro la Bosnia ai rigori, si comincia a pensare al futuro. Non solo quello dirigenziale, che potrebbe vedere le dimissioni del presidente Figc Gravina, ma anche sportivo. Gattuso resterà ad allenare gli azzurri? Nella conferenza stampa post-match aveva detto che si sarebbe preso le proprie responsabilità e quindi è subito partito il toto-allenatore attorno ai papabili per la casacca da Ct. 
Secondo Sky sport, per ora in pole position siedono Antonio Conte, che attualmente allena il Napoli nel campionato di Serie A, e Massimiliano Allegri che invece detiene la panchina del Milan. Dalle retrovie, però, si vocifera anche di un ritorno di Roberto Mancini che trainò la nazionale verso la vittoria agli Europei del 2020. Una scelta, questa, che però pare meno probabile per via dei dissapori sorti dopo la scelta del Ct di andare ad allenare l'Arabia Saudita.
Per un Italia stufa di vedere l'ennesimo mondiale da casa, i nomi che circolano nella piazza sono quelli di grandi allenatori che possano offrire una garanzia. A patto che la stessa garanzia derivi anche da una squadra di giocatori che, si presume, verrà ricostruita.
