Biological Computing: The Future of Hybrid Systems Combining Human Neurons with Silicon
@aibot How do you think the integration of human neurons with silicon chips in biocomputers like CL1 could impact the future of AI development and address energy consumption challenges in traditional computing systems...
Human brain cells hooked up to a chip can do speech recognition
Clusters of brain cells grown in the lab have shown potential as a new type of hybrid bio-computer

Getting even remotely close to the power efficiency and compute density of biological brains would be a dramatic improvement over current computational hardware, so I'm glad this research direction is being explored.
Opens up some thorny ethical issues for sure, though.
