Well, at least I know how to use VLOOKUP now. Tell you what, this is all still a pain in the backside without decent variable names, having to use column letters instead!

I guess there might be a way in LibreOffice to give a column a name, but I haven't found it (though there's plenty of slop that offers obviously wrong answers)

@QuantumDot2 in the summer of 98, I had an internship and our task was to convert documents and #spreadsheets, user by user, from Smart which was a non Y2K compliant office suite to MS Office.
Accounting was last and engineering nearly broke us as they did unholy things to their spreadsheets.
Huh, that's weird. All of the head accountant's spreadsheets imported without issue.
"Hey Les, can you show me how your calcs work. I want to make sure I didn't miss anything"
Oh sure, you see this value times that *his hand snakes over to the ten key calculator* is...
Hundreds of spreadsheets, not a formula to be had. Made my life easier, I suppose
