Tuesday I raced the Atlanta Track Club Wingfoot Mile. I was slower than last year but better than I was expecting given I haven’t run hard in several weeks.

In my Phase 3 post, I mentioned I was on a running break due to some hip adductor/flexor tightness. I’ve been back to running now for about a week.

Unfortunately, there’s not enough time to doing any strategic training for the Wingfoot Mile.

Yesterday began phase three of my training plan for the Atlanta Track Club Wingfoot Mile.

Phase two did not go well. I’m currently sidelined letting my hip adductor/flexor thing heal up, so at the moment training = not running.

Wednesday I raced the Atlanta Track Club Grand Prix Cross Country 5k.

Even though I faded hard on the third mile, my strategy for that mile was just to “hold on.” I hit my strategy on the first two miles, so technically I hit my strategy for the whole race.
