@macberg I noticed that thing... Not even from #childfree or #antinatalist point of view but simply looking for some logic and coherence in peoples' actions. Among people I know, better or worse, ones who have most children are the same who care least about world, environment, future of their children. I mean educated middle-class people, having comfortable lives and good jobs, who consciously chose how big families they want. They are biggest GenAI fans, fly few times a year for exotic holidays, buy excess of electronic, generating e-waste (and also general over-consumption). Just living at the moment, not thinking of costs. Very often they also hold bigoted views or general "bad things happen to OTHER people, not us". Some of them also tend to vote for politicians and parties promoting quick short-term gains and neglecting long-term planning.
If in some alternative reality I wanted kids, I would rather try to not destroy world in which they would have to live...

Some incredibly interesting takes… not much of an #antinatalist presence here but I would say most of the people here advocate heavily for bodily autonomy, across all species even. Do you value the right to reproduce over the safety of children? Should child abusers be sterilized? Thrown directly in the pit? I see many mixed opinions on death penalty here, I just do a lot of wondering.
