You'll never pivot if you don't take on the risk!

When I was trying to decide many years ago if I should leave the corporate world and become a freelancer, my fear told me I was trading a "sure thing" for a "wild gamble." My colleagues thought I was leaving a safe harbor for a volatile ocean. Even before that, they were busy hammering home to me that I was making a mistake by abandoning the safe world of accountancy for some unknown career emerging in global connectivity.

But I also knew that something big was happening, and I wanted to be a part of it. I traded my future security for the opportunity that lay in front of me.

That taught me a valuable lesson that not only guided me throughout my career, but also became core advice for my corporate clients. And in fact, three decades of advising global leadership teams have taught me a brutal truth: the gamble isn't the pivot; the gamble is staying put.

As someone who speaks and writes about disruptive trends, I’ve watched far too many "safe" industries dry up and "secure" corporate giants crumble because they were anchored to a past that no longer existed. They refused to take on bold new risks to chase a disruptive opportunity. And in a high-velocity economy, here's what we know: focusing on certainty is the wrong thing to do.

The fact is, if you are anchored to a static model, you aren't safe.

You are a stationary target for disruption.

True security doesn't come from chasing safety; it comes from the agility you build when you choose to navigate change. The wrong path is the one that promises safety because it's often a dead end.

The right one - the one that involves risk and uncertainty - is the one that usually offers growth.

L'Unità: Grillo contro Conte, lo scontro in tribunale a Roma: l’ex garante fa causa al leader 5 Stelle per nome e simbolo del Movimento

La guerra giudiziaria tra Beppe Grillo e Giuseppe Conte per il simbolo del Movimento 5 Stelle è realtà. Spesso evocata nei mesi scorsi, in particolare dopo lo strappo tra il co-fondatore e il leader dei pentastellati, con le truppe a lui fedeli che decretarono di fatto l’espulsione del garante del Movimento con un voto online che cancellò dallo statuto quel tipo di figura, lo scontro tra i due avrà come “campo da gioco” il tribunale di Roma.
L’associazione Movimento 5 Stelle di Genova, di cui Grillo è presidente del consiglio direttivo, ha notificato l’atto di citazione davanti al Tribunale di Roma, con prima udienza a fine luglio: in ballo, la titolarità di nome e logo del Movimento e, soprattutto, chi potrà utilizzarlo.
Si concretizza così quanto annunciato lo scorso giugno da Grillo, che aveva anticipato la volontà di riappropriarsi di nome e simbolo del Movimento dal “mago di Oz”, come il comico genovese aveva ribattezzato l’ex presidente del Consiglio.
“La battaglia legale sarà difficile, lunga e complessa. E chi sarà in prima fila sarà purtroppo Beppe. Proprio la persona che il MoVimento la ha fondato, costretto ancora una volta a metterci soldi suoi. Contro qualcuno che, invece, si è assicurato milioni di finanziamenti pubblici. La dignità, però, non ha prezzo. É una battaglia giusta e per quanto difficile va fatta. Se vi rimane ancora un po’ di dignità, ridate il simbolo e il nome del MoVimento a Beppe. E andate per la vostra strada. Fatevi il vostro simbolo. Loro, purtroppo, non credo molleranno. Noi nemmeno. Forza Beppe!”, scrive in un lungo post sui social l’ex parlamentare M5S Marco Bella, vicino a Grillo, confermando l’indiscrezione pubblicata in un primo momento dall’AdnKronos sulla battaglia legale intentata dal comico genovese per riprendersi il Movimento.

“Conte si presenti alle prossime elezioni politiche con il suo simbolo ma non ha diritto di utilizzare quello del MoVimento. Si è fatto un suo partito che non ha niente a che fare con la storia del MoVimento e dunque si faccia pure un suo simbolo”, è stato il commento sui social dell’ex “ideologo” pentastellato Paolo Becchi.

Grillo versus Conte, the clash in court in Rome: the former ombudsman sues the leader of the Five Star Movement for name and symbol.

The judicial battle between Beppe Grillo and Giuseppe Conte over the Five Star Movement’s symbol is a reality. Often evoked in recent months, particularly after the rift between the co-founder and the leader of the pentastellati (Five Stars), with his loyal troops effectively decreeing the expulsion of the Movement’s guarantor through an online vote that deleted that type of figure from the statute, the clash between the two will have the Rome court as its “playing field.”

The Five Star Movement association in Genoa, of which Grillo is president of the executive board, has served the lawsuit before the Rome Court, with the first hearing scheduled for the end of July: at stake is the ownership of the Movement’s name and logo, and, above all, who will be able to use it.

This concretizes what Grillo announced last June, who had anticipated the desire to reclaim the Movement’s name and symbol from the “Wizard of Oz,” as the Genoan comedian had dubbed the former Prime Minister.

“The legal battle will be difficult, long, and complex. And unfortunately, it will be Beppe who will be in the front row. Precisely the person who founded the MoVimento, forced once again to put his own money into it. Against someone who, on the other hand, has secured millions in public funding. However, dignity has no price. It is a just battle and must be fought, however difficult. If you still have a little dignity left, give Beppe back the symbol and the name of the MoVimento. And go your own way. Make your own symbol. They, unfortunately, I don’t believe they will let up. Neither will we. Come on Beppe!”, writes former M5S parliamentarian Marco Bella, close to Grillo, in a long post on social media, confirming the indiscretion initially published by AdnKronos regarding the legal battle waged by the Genoan comedian to reclaim the Movement.

“Conte should present himself at the next political elections with his own symbol but he has no right to use the MoVimento’s symbol. He has made his own party which has nothing to do with the history of the MoVimento and therefore should also make his own symbol,” was the comment on social media from the former Five Star “ideologue” Paolo Becchi.
