New to AcqDemo, and Air Force

BLUF: Im trying to understand benefits/risks of AcqDemo vs GS pay. Its been said before on here im sure, but my situation is a bit different. I have signed a TJO for a NH-03 position in the installation IG office for Inspections, which was under direct hire authority. I wont get into the specific base unless necessary. This is a huge pay bump for me, and no matter what I am 100% happy with it for now. However, I expect a TJO from a GS-12 position at NSIC next week with the Space Force. From my understanding, NH salary raises are 100% driven by performance. But when my supervisor says “as the installation IG, we are broke, because we have 2 centers and some MAJCOMs on base.” Doesn’t give me much hope.I 100% plan to learn, adapt, and be the best I can be. Coming from an Army background, it will be a change of pace. However, running some ROUGH calculations, if trends remain the same, I would have to perform perfectly and receive top marks on all performance evaluations, just to keep up with GS pay scaling until Step 8. So i’ve got to ask, given the choice would you choose NH-03 in a 6 person IG office, or GS-12 in Acquisitions for a center? Im not just talking about straight pay (although it is the biggest immediate factor) but also promotion ability. I am currently 25 years old, and know I’m just starting out, and am very fortunate to be where I am. My goal is GS-15 in 10-15 years, and/or SES in 30+ years. Ive heard a lot of people complain that NH can only reward hard workers when there is enough funding, whereas GS get their step increases as long as they are not unsatisfactory. Im also wanting to really understand how bonuses work. Are they tied into overall performance, or specific non-repeatable achievements/contributions? Ive read a little bit of both. If you don’t have a direct answer to my questions, thats fine. Feel free to comment on your general experience and/or feelings on NH vs GS. I’ve read that a majority of NH employees voted against switching to NH from GS, but they did it anyways.

Israeli attack kills famed turtle sanctuary ecologist in Lebanon

"The Lebanese marine activist Mona Khalil, who became a beloved figure in the country for a decades-long effort to protect a nesting site for turtles near her home, has died from injuries sustained in an Israeli strike.

Khalil, 76, ran a sanctuary called the Orange House Project near the Mediterranean city of Tyre. She hosted volunteers in her house to clean and monitor a mile-long beach and welcomed tourists to stay and learn about conservation."

SES ECQs and two page resume - anyone done it yet?

I'm applying to an SES position as a non-SES. This means I have to provide responses to 5 ECQs and 2 TCQs along with two decades of experience in two pages. Any advice for doing this? Are there any formatting rules? I'm down to 2.5 pages but feel like almost everything left is needed and I'm already stripping stuff out.
