@tml except #BILD itself is trash and besides employing #AdBlockerBlockers they ram their site.full with #affiliate links!

@Viss @jplebreton agreed...

The amount of #Bloatware is just absurd these days.

What we need is a #LightWeightWeb that refuses all that #Bloat and #Junk.

Something like #FrogFind by @ActionRetro, but instead of a #WebProxy just good #Websites that provide said information without demanding literal megabytes in bloat!

@dragonfrog @lispi314 @foone granted I remember the days when people worked around forced #ads in Online-RTS Browser games like #OGame by literally loading, but not displaying the ads so that is a possibility per very nature of the web.

  • Even #AdblockerBlockers can't actually see what's displayed, and Servers can only check what files they served.

@[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] if the purpose of the app is to show you ads, ads are the numerator in any efficiency calculation. If the API doesn't show you ads then its efficiency is zero. The more you get frustrated and use the web app and see its ads, the more efficient the API is.

@cstross If it was my decision, #AdblockerBlockers and #aywalling #AdFree Access would be as illegal as #TargetedAdvertising should be.
@halotroop2288 I'll also recommend people to #AdblockHarder because #AdblockerBlockers are just bad!

@Lil_VampireCJ that explains why #YouTube's #AdblockerBlockers haven't been used in #Germany.

Some reactionary #Tabloid once argued in #Germany that #BlockingAdblockers is #DRM and thus should be banned as "circumvention of DRM.
Needless to say that shitsite should choke on that argument...

I'll stick with my #AdBlocking setup...

@[email protected] +9001% Also not theor shittyness seems exclusive to the #USA, and I've yet to see a single attempt of that shite on my network. But maybe they also let #B2B internet customers get a pass since all that "#Cybersecurity" #Snakeoil nowadays comes with #AdBlockers and #DNS-Filtering anyway... Feel free to cross test my setup tho: - #pfSense with #pfBlockerNG & [these blocklists]( https://github.com/greyhat-academy/lists.d/blob/main/blocklists.list.tsv ) - #uBlockOrigin - #SponsorBlock - #Firefox - @[email protected] / #Ubuntu 22.40 #LTS #Desktop

Can't confirm this yet but maybe #YouTube doesn't go after #Business #Internet users with static IPs assigned to them because they know they won't tolerate #AdblockerBlockers since they are common in every "#Cybersecurity Solution" on the market!

I myself use #pfBlockerNG, #uBlockOrigin and #SponsorBlock on all networks / devices and their site works to this day...

YouTube blocks adblockers; will this be their downfall?

@josh What really gets me to going ballistic is #AdblockerBlockers, forced-in & technically unnecessary Cookies and noreply- eMail- and Vanity Numbers:

All that shit should be so very illegal that I think @Netzausbau sould terminate any NoReply - Line or domain using such eMail Adresses....

@KrissyKat Personally I'm so sick and tired of all the #AdblockerBlockers and #Tracking shit that I use @torproject as my default #Browser for anything where I don't want to login...
