When you installs a modern application, we expect a lite, minimal footprint installation. For instants, when you install NVDA, it installs within five minutes and just install nvda.
When you installs jaws however, it takes at least 15 minutes and installs the following:
Microsoft Visual c++ redistributable 2015 2022 both x86 an x64
microsoft windows desktop runtime both x86 and x64
jaws with 2.13 gb size at least for the 2025 version,
jaws training table of contents and fs reader
ocr 64 bit and omnipage
touch server
USB camera driver
video accessibility component

Let's talk bloatware.

I was surprised Bluesky had an Instagram Reels-like section. Sure, it isn't as addictive nor does it have its own section, but boy does the enshittification seem to be coming soon, and it's something that I have been reading about on Mastodon for quite a while.

I downloaded #Librewolf but I’m curious, for those using Firefox, do you all still use the custom, better fox, user settings file? Is there a better one I can and should bookmark? Probably the only thing I really don’t care about, and I really should care about it, is cookies. I’m lazy, and I’m the only one using this computer, so don’t want to login all the time to places. I also recently discovered that I love going into About Config more than using the settings screen. #Firefox #Bloat
