An interesting #CPU I haven't seen used on a home brew computer; is the HuC6280. Basically it's the #65C02, with a couple more instructions, more memory handling and a nice audio engine. #6502

Almost back to the beginning! Breadboarding the new Steckschwein "core" based on an ATF1508.
Hope the CPLD has enough space for everything we want to cram in there.
At least hardware based SPI needs to fit. And a vectorizing interrupt controller.

Thanks to #beneater videos, i have been into #retrocomputing lately. Since i am better at making PCB than building complex breadboard circuits, my first creation was a #65c02 SBC compatible with the Apple1/Replica1.

From a software point of view, it behaves like an Apple1 so it runs #wozmon and any Appe1 software I could throw at it. Keyboard and display is emulated by an arduino and available as a (usb) serial port.
