Apparently “rich” refers to luxury/significant wealth, NOT just reliably sustainable comfort??
I always thought disposable income=rich lol
Been thinking on it all day & maybe it’s bc #disability #chronicpain #chronicillness make more things (like comfort) seem like a rare luxury so #disabled perspective is shifted accordingly

I feel like people tend to think of #asd as
“autism-spectrum disorder”
when it should be more like
“autism: spectrum disorder”
bc there is no one big “autism spectrum” & the misconception is so damaging.
It’s tons of little spectrums that (don’t actually feel little and) add up to be deeply impactful in every area of life.
Its doing & experiencing most things to extremes in a world that most often refuses to accommodate for that, and it’s exhausting.

I’m always so triggered by ppls voiceovers for that dog vision filter…always wonder if they talk to blind/disabled ppl that way too??

1. Different experience/disability does not warrant pity
2. Humans can’t see all colors either
2. Dogs are not “missing” colors, they have no idea more colors exist. They’re not sad about it 😂

Whenever someone mentions the alleged autistic communication deficit, all I’m hearing is two things:

1. Allistics must really love cryptic codes that are entirely illogical inconsistent and unnecessary. They’re clearly so offended that we won’t memorize their wacky language.
2. Allistics must looove projecting their shortcomings onto minorities or any demographics they don’t understand. Because that’s all they seem to do
