When possible, I do things in nature. Quite often I am not in nature. There's probably some sort of balance to that.

Toddler at home so erratic everyday, have great plans to maybe post updates from various DIY projects that move forward very calmly. Equally likely to upload nature photos as to forget.

Will get into conversations about things I know something of, but tend to keep to myself, so to speak, as a lot of people already either know a lot or think they do on the great interwebs.

Nerd wanted!

My hosting solution just sent me the "updated" invoice for next year and they are out of their fucking corporate minds. So rather than giving them more money, I was thinking it would be nice to pay some self-hosting hacker type (furry or not) and support weird and small rather than large and capitalist.

I would need the following:
- the fairly lightweight website orsom.eu reliably online (all html/CSS with a tiny bit of JavaScript, quite low traffic, okay just using FileZilla for access)
- a couple of email addresses with 5-10 GB of storage (a webmail client would be a plus for emergencies, but just using Thunderbird and K9 is fine)
- EU based (preferably) and better if you can send me an invoice

Do you already have something similar for yourself and don't mind me tagging along for a few years until I have the time to set up self-hosting on my own? Let me know!

Boosts appreciated ❤️

Anybody have pointers for machine darning thin and stretchy merino wool fabric? The seams are getting somewhat neat, but I can't seem to avoid bunching at one or both ends, which is possible if careful when darning by hand..

After a couple of intense weeks there was enough time this morning to go kayaking not just for exercise, but more for leisure. Overcast and perfect temperature for paddling, so very relaxing! Also found a spot where the current was calm enough to collect some of the season's last elderflower in my drybag and make syrup once home.

#carryshitolympics tip: some scrap wood and a couple of screws give your everyday bike half decent cargo capacity whenever you need it!

@KrajciTom I've been working on a DIY painting project, and was wondering how you deal with brush marks and paint runs. Just scrape, sand them down and paint another thin layer again until you get to perfection?
