Have made a batch of the olive mix that goes into muffulettas (and then promptly made and devoured one muffuletta, or at least something approximating a muffuletta).

Whilst chopping the olives, I sampled a bit of each of the kinds of olives by themselves, and confirmed I still don't like olives by themselves. Yet I really like muffulettas.

Isn't cooking alchemy weird?

From chive flowers to flavored vinegar. The purple from the flowers, and their flavor, seep into the vinegar. I make enough to last me for nearly a year. (photos attached)
