Managed to swiss-darn duplicate stitch the moth hole in my Slanted Sleeven cardigan I knit a couple of years ago. I love that cardi, it's from Mongolian wool from the ULA+LIA Kickstarter, three-quarter sleeves and open front.
It's not a flawless fix but I feel comfortable wearing it again and I know nothing will unravel.

I was finally able to get my mending and art skills to the point where I could combine the two.
This was my first ever attempt at embroidery. I wanted to repair a damaged cuff on a shirt I thrifted, but I wanted to make it fun! I feel like I have a little buddy on my sleeve now.
I need to get some more stuff to repair like this now.

any recommendations for manuals or tutorials how to mend a hole like this one in **linen** pants?
Boundary conditions: it had to be done by hand without any special equipment (but I'm pretty good at hand stitches of all kind & don't own a sewing machine) and it has to hold a few washes, at least.
For everyone else: please note I am asking people with experience in #mending or clothes #repair, not folks who point me towards something they found online or googled up.
Whoa, I think the sodium percarbonate (aka Country Save oxygen bleach) is actually working on these mold stains. Amazing. I'm currently on the third soak: first was overnight, second was a refresh of the hot water/detergent, and now I'm on a third refresh/soak and it's only the bottom corners that seem to be holding out. Maybe I should make a paste next? And scrub it in with a toothbrush? This is a science miracle! So many people on various threads said it couldn't be done.
First ebay fail in a while: a vintage Crumpler bag with mold stains. Looking at the listing, the seller definitely overlit the item, but there were spots I should have picked up on, so I can't justify a complaint. Solution: a regular detergent wash, a sanitising soak in white vinegar, and then another (overnight) soak in oxygen bleach. And then I'll probably have to RIT dye the interior to cover what couldn't be removed.
Got the neighbor's old stroller to give to a friend but mice got to the seat.
I put it all in the washing machine on a sanitize cycle then made a new wrapping for the crossbar, added a reflective strip on the sunshade where it was ripped and then stuffed the seat with some more foam and put a couple of accent pieces of fabric to cover the big tear. One of the smaller tears in the side just got a kind of ugly and visible patch since it's well hidden enough not to be too noticeable.
Today in Mending: the pocket of a secondhand Timbuk2 bag I paid a little too much for on eBay, but it was exactly what the kid wanted for an alternate schoolbag so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
