Some internet guy from Germany, playing #videogames since the #80s, on #PC and #console, #emulation, #Steam and #LinuxGaming in general. Loving #Linux, hating, Windows, hating iOS, hating Android. Doing some #photography and #programming for fun and waste my time with discussions about nonsense. Left Reddit for the lolz.

I give up on Mastodon. This place is not better than Twitter. Everything is just an advertisement and real communication or discussion is rare. Sry but this is not for me.

I give up on Mastodon. This place is not better than Twitter. Everything is just an advertisement and real communication or discussion is rare. Sorry but this is not for me.

I'm out.

For anyone who uses #illustrator to create any form of #art including #games content, then have a look at the free and #libre #opensource software #inkscape . #logosbynick (unfortunately he does not have an account on Mastodon I think) in the video will showcase some feature which Adobe Illustrator cannot do compared to Inkscape.

In general I find his tutorials and tips with Inkscape very interesting and maybe you can learn one or two things too.

#emulation tip: Following re-release of Quake II, I decided to try the PSX version of it.

It supports twin stick controls, but poor bindings - left stick rotates and moves forward/backwards while right stick tilts and strafes.

But wouldn't you know it - there is a ROM patch which fixes the sticks, making it quite playable!

Here's link for the patch: https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/3145/ however you can find already patched ROMs on the internet.

<rant>I hate Flatpak with Nvidia. It takes forever, because the driver is installed in multiple versions. I run `flatpak remove --unused` everytime and still... On my system are only a handful of Flatpak hpps installed, because most of the stuff is native on my system.

Unrelated to Flatpak: Each time the Kernel updates on the native package manager, the update takes ages because Nvidia driver needs to be installed with DKMS as well (twice, for each Kernel once).</rant>
