Ich bin nach 8,5 Jahren #ios spontan auf ein #degoogled #android umgestiegen (2023), weil das #iphone den Geist aufgab. Aus der Packung holen, den Client für die Nicht- #icloud drauf, Daten synchronisieren, Glücklich sein.
Nach 5 Jahren #macos in der Mittagspause eben dieses zu löschen und durch ein #linux (damals #ubuntu) zu ersetzen (2020), während alle anderen an einem #onlineconference Tool mit 3 Buttons verzweifeln.
Ich hab schon #dutgemacht, bevor es cool war.

@viralobscurity @omgubuntu while I agree with the sentiment, no part of it will help with the issues described in the original post.
Media gatekeeping is worse than US cable media of decades earlier already and apps will be affected the same on android, play services or not. And while there is a way to get play store apps with a #degoogled OS like with #microG, the age verification framework will hit stern resistance with the userbase and apps will probably just not work.
Impractical for most.
