Disabled and living a cozy life from bed.
My current proudest achievement is having cards at three libraries. I love houseplants, bird cams, video games, science, science fiction, and being in disability community. Let's be buds!

A piece of splatoon art that I made of octoling versions of twitch streamer Masuoh, my ‘sona Rory, and my friend @spark ‘s squidkid last week. I’ve been feeling more under-the-weather for a few days now, but my streak of better cognitive function still appears to continuing. This art piece took me nearly a week, and it was a slog, because I’m just not used to working on more complex images or spending so many consecutive days working anymore.

@KikiElara @mraharrison First books I thought of recommending were Ancillary Justice as well as The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin.
@wim_v12e What lovely books! The Housekeeper and the Professor is one of my favorite books I've read in the last few years; I'd love to be able to read it in Japanese one day. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
@KittenInACave This is not the solution, but if the Metatext app is available to you, it has two tabs in the notifications section that you can quickly tap between - All and Mentions Only.

@LexStarwalker Shared experiences with treatments can be a big help when you have conditions not every doctor you see will have heard of, nonetheless know best how to treat.

You may know the hashtags used in the toot you replied to refer to the No End In Sight Void and the condition ME/CFS, so the author was reaching out to a specific community, rather than randos.

Wonderfully, my most effective medicine is one that I heard about in a vlog! My cardiologist gladly prescribes it for me.

One of my goals this year is to read more nonfiction so I've made a nonfiction reading challenge called Worldbuilder's Book Club for any writers looking to read some nonfiction to deepen worldbuilding or generate story ideas, I made this graphic (with alt text) listing the twelve categories and it's also available as a challenge you can sign up for on The StoryGraph!

@pandemoniumcrutch Thank you, and no problem! Let me know if you would like any information about it.
@PanickedFoodie I can only play on the Nintendo Switch and not a computer, so I'm a bit limited, but that limitation ended up pushing me to try new games. And I've loved it, too! My favorites that I've learned are Hanafuda/Koi-Koi, Backgammon, and Wingspan.
@pandemoniumcrutch I apologize if you've already tried this, it's not available to you, or it's not relevant, but I want to make sure you know about Corlanor/Ivabradine. I have dysautonomia/POTS and could not tolerate beta blockers, and Ivabradine has been successful in controlling my heart rate without side effects.
