Trying to read a medical thriller en Español might have been a mistake. Instead of the short bursts of anxiety such a book would provoke when reading in my native English, the tension is drawn out, commensurate with my reading speed.

It's amazing to me how many people think social media follows equate to votes or popularity.

It doesn't even occur to them that some of those follows might be bought followers, people from outside the country that can't vote, bots, or tabloid-level journalists waiting to regurgitate the stupid shit that gets posted so they can make money.

Common sense is a myth.
