We haven't shared anything in a hot minute, largely because we've been heads down working on #quests, which are hard to share without spoiling! So we made a "just for funsies" one to show off some of the mechanics in action.

We've been working on some new #quests for #Mystavaria #MUD and actually have something to show and remembered to share on #ScreenshotSaturday finally! We added a little treasure hunt with treasure maps marked with an X to represent the location of some buried treasure, so players can go seek out the maps and find the treasure for a little reward.

Did that thing where we missed #ScreenshotSaturday again (can we do #ScreenshotSunday instead?)! Super excited to share our ​#Alchemy and #Potion making skill (now with added explosions! 💥​) which we spent the last week or so polishing.

Potions use various ingredients and have varying chances of bad/neutral/good reactions based on the player's skill level, plus possibility for explosions on especially bad potions! It's also possible to fail at making the intended potion but succeed in making a potion of another type (including special ones with unique properties), or make a potion of the correct type but with the wrong color.

For those new to Mystavaria, we're an upcoming text-based #MUD, currently in development (yup! those still exist!). Our world is based on the collision of dreams and reality. We have 5 classes and over 20 skills to choose from, including unique magic like "Dreamweaving" and "Sky Prophecy," along with the tried and true mage's "Arcane" magic and "Blademastery" for the warriors out there!
