Really happy to finally call this official: William Rizzo is now a Kairos maintainer ❤️
William’s been contributing, challenging us, and pushing Kairos forward for a long time already — so this just makes visible what’s been true for a while.
Grateful for the trust, the friendship, and all the work we get to do together. Proud to have you on the team, brother.

Proud to be in the Top 3% of most active speakers on Sessionize in 2025 — for the second year in a row 🎤
Huge thanks to every conference, meetup, and organizer who made this possible.
Ten years after my first talk at FOSDEM, I’m coming back 🎉 This time to share our work on Hadron, a new Linux distribution for image-based systems.
I wrote a short post reflecting on that journey — you’ll also find the link to the session schedule there. I’d love to see many of you at FOSDEM again.

Always great to team up with @dkarakasilis!
We joined the Cloud Native Compass podcast to talk about the origins of Kairos, who it’s for, how fleet management is evolving, and all sorts of cool stuff in between.
Thanks to David and @nimbinatus for hosting us!
The episode will be out sometime next week.

After some deliberation, I decided to give #openSUSE Micro OS a try. It has the appeal of #fedora silverblue but it will be easier for me since I have experience with openSUSE. I’m not sure how easy it will be to adapt to an immutable OS though. If it doesn’t work, then I’ll go back and review some other of the suggested distributions. And my fallback is Ubuntu since I know it works pretty well with this old machine.
The installation screen was very cool 😎 and it was blazing fast.
I constantly see this #existentialist #grafiti on my runs and it always leaves me wondering: “Are you really awake?”
Started reading “The Intellectual Life of the British Working Classes” by Jonathan Rose.
If there are others out there interested in reading together or discussing in case you already read it, then please reach out. Really interested in making connections with others out there with similar reading taste.
