Deadlines for comments on a million SpaceX "AI data centers" and a company that wants to deliver "sunlight as a service" are coming up soon. If you have time and energy, please write a comment! Instructions below.
(I heard a rumour that Reflect Orbital is on-track to have the most comments on an FCC filing ever. Seems like a good goal to beat the record writing responses to this incredibly fucking stupid idea)

Kicking off 2026 with our first Cloud Native Brussels meetup of the year — next Thursday (5 March) in Brussels.
We’ve got two very timely talks:
🇪🇺 European Sovereign Cloud — Eddy Truyen (DistriNet / KU Leuven)
🤖 AI Security Monitoring: Detecting Threats Against Production ML Systems — Samuel Desseaux
I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone again, meeting new folks, and continuing to grow the Cloud Native community in Belgium.
My favorite portable monitor.
Resolution is questionable, but it ships with real-time audio alerts and mandatory break reminders.
@pid_eins on VM integration in #Systemd in a tightly packed #VirtualizationDevroom at #fosdem2026 .
Is AI memory recollection the new git?
(sarcasm, just in case 😄)
Then I tried GitHub Copilot for the first time. I asked a simple question about a repo…
Instead, it opened a PR. I closed it immediately, until a colleague reviewed it and pointed out it was actually fixing a real bug.
We had a good laugh.
How’s your AI week going?
ChatGPT managed to delete an entire afternoon of work & Copilot opened a PR to fix something nobody asked for.
Yep, I was pairing with ChatGPT and at some point it nuked the whole directory. Including .git.
It even broke its own session because… the directory no longer existed 😅 (I know, my fault, I blame decision fatigue)
Out of curiosity, I asked it to regenerate everything we had worked on that afternoon.
And to my surprise, it mostly nailed it.
What’s your go-to AI client for the terminal?
I’ve been testing OpenCode, and I’m really enjoying it so far. I’ll try it with local models later, but with ChatGPT it already works wonders.
Any tips from folks using it? Or other tools I should check out?
I expected native ARM to be faster ... I didn’t expect it to be so much faster.
I ran the same OS-heavy Docker build on a Raspberry Pi 5 and a high-end Intel laptop.
The Pi won. Nearly 2x faster.
Architecture alignment matters more than raw specs when building ARM images.

Anybody here knows what's the process to get a Linux distribution audited for security?
@ncopa @craftyguy Have any of you folks done this process or point me to the right direction?
