left-handed photography
First and foremost, I really miss the film negative borders on my photos, it’s a shame!
So I found a solution for my analog photography during my recovery period and thought that #landscapes would work out fine with my little Yashica...
On my walks, I also took photos of a few old houses in my neighbourhood. I’m no architect at all, but certain styles still appeal to me. And the incredible architectural chaos you see in #Belgium is what makes it unique. A phenomenon in my neighbourhood and elsewhere is that old houses and villas are no longer being renovated but demolished, usually to make way for a block of #flats on the same site. It’s happening at such a pace that the typical #town or #village character is disappearing completely.
Sadly, this fantastic large #farmhouse is also set to be demolished
Immediately after my operation (yes, also on the very same day)

I went for a walk.
And I did that every day and took my Yashica Electro35 MC
The smallest camera I own is the Yashica Electro35 MC

So I’d tested it beforehand to see if I could actually operate it with my left hand.
It was also the first time I’d used colour film in my tiny little Yashica
So I’ll show you a selection of these tests

The lab in #ghent I’ve been using all my life (and get very little credit for) has had its full-frame negative scanner break down. So I’m missing my proof that I don’t crop my photos… sorry about that !!
It’s an unbelievably small and charming little #camera… #analog is timeless. #filmphotography #ishootfilm #grainisgood #film #yashicaelectro35 #colorfilm #kodakgold #kodak #hospital #surgery #lefthand #bandage #ghent #afsnee #architecture #rural
