First and foremost, I really miss the film negative borders on my photos, it’s a shame !

And now we can talk about the patterns that repeat themselves in life...

Of course, we find ourselves back in the same places time and again in life, because we enjoy being there, for example. Because we just can’t help ourselves! I started going for a walk.
And I did that every day and took my Yashica Electro35 MC

I’ve walked to the centre of the Ghent a few times now, and of course I follow the River Leie for a bit along the way. A sunny day and a little red boat...

First and foremost, I really miss the film negative borders on my photos, it’s a shame!

So I found a solution for my analog photography during my recovery period and thought that #landscapes would work out fine with my little Yashica...

On my walks, I also took photos of a few old houses in my neighbourhood. I’m no architect at all, but certain styles still appeal to me. And the incredible architectural chaos you see in #Belgium is what makes it unique. A phenomenon in my neighbourhood and elsewhere is that old houses and villas are no longer being renovated but demolished, usually to make way for a block of #flats on the same site. It’s happening at such a pace that the typical #town or #village character is disappearing completely.

Sadly, this fantastic large #farmhouse is also set to be demolished

Nature, murder and horror !

Today I’m taking a brief break from the recent series by the left-handed photographer https://pixelfed.social/c/951011603116521647

This morning I found my old hen dead in the middle of the chicken run. Her three much younger companions had left nothing but a trail of chaos and feathers... It’s been years since a fox last managed to steal our chickens. Our oldest Jack Russell is probably not as sprightly as she once was, so the fox took its chance. The photo is probably about 9 years old (though the hen was also very old), so there’s a chance she was the model for this photo too.

Rest in peace, hen.
