Me: oh my god why is it so freaking chilly out today

Today:

tonight i did some #gamedev! im very new to #unity and C#, and so naturally i thought hey lets make a multiplayer game, that'd be a great way to learn!

after i think three evenings now, i've got it so ive got a plane that objects can move around on, sever authoritative, so the client is signaling a want to move, and the server is executing and syncing the new position back

my end goal for this little project is to recreate a mini-game in a reaaallly old-school #mmorpg i used to play called #nexustk. the mini game is called 'elixir war', it was basically a CTF/freeze tag game.

so far loving unity!

ok so I promise I’m not actually a big #food poster kinda guy but we used the leftover marinade from our #vegan carrot dogs yesterday and did #tofu steaks and CHECK OUT THESE #GRILL MARKS!

we also did up some grilled #polenta. so good.

thats enough grilling for me for awhile. I run out of steam when I try to do too many home cooked meals.

today was an absolutely beautiful day in #irvine for a lunch-time #walk

although I’m not strictly #vegan, my partner is and so I try out a lot of cool recipes.

today we did “carrot dogs”, and they turned out wonderful! marinated rainbow carrots and then grilled to get a char on them, I’ll post the recipe below

only real issue with them is after having two and a side of coleslaw I’m STARVING just two hours later. would have really benefited from some beans or lentils on the side to fill the meal out
