So, after looking at some instances, I decided to set up my own. There's some interesting instances out there, but either they've defederated from instances some of my friends are on, or they are behind cloudflare (cloudflare are nazi's in case you didn't know), or whatever. If you want it done well, you have to do it yourself I guess :)
I'll be setting it up a bit more and then move this account to the new instance (chasmcity.net), but I see people are already following me :)

I might be in the market for a new #mastodon instance. Looking for one hosted in #Europe, with an active admin group that keeps up with defederating from harmful instances and acting on hateful content. Am willing and able to contribute financially. Preferably not too big, not too small (say at most a couple of thousand of members). Left-leaning, creative, friendly, focus on positivity.
