Trying to decide if I think it's a good thing that the time stamp link on toots iw an indirect link on your server (e.g. https://fosstodon.org/@[email protected]e/116821082654018346 in my case) and you have to go to the "..." menu and "copy link to post" to get the address on the target server.
I do that if I want to post a link seen on one account onto another account. but it's one more click than I'd like. #lazy
#Tusky has a nice "Open as" link which lets you open a post as one of your other accounts to easily interact with it.
I've found some actual usecases for fedi client on my smartfone: notifications when I'm outside, something to fiddle with when waiting in queue and showing my findings to real-life friends.
I'm typing this from #Tusky to test how uncomfortable a touchscreen is for typing ๐ I think I prefer physical keyboard a lotโฆ
I wanted to share something a few times but lost motivation after returning home, so ability to share stuff when on walk or ride might be an another pro.
What is happening to #tusky I haven't been able to use it all morning. Everyday, I have to open the app twice or thrice and keep refreshing before it connects, but today it's giving me this.
On an android phone.
EDIT. Appears to be working now, but still, every time I turn off data, and then turn it back on at a later time and log into this app, it does this.
Tusky used to show me four sets/tabs of toots - home, local, notification and federated. Since installing it on a new phone it shows direct messages instead of federated. The old phone still shows a federated tab.
I cannot find a setting to bring back the federated feed :-)
Cany anyone help me find it again?
This is Tusky v32.2, same server (aus.social), same account on both phones.
