Today @ConnyDuck finally overcame one of the major roadblocks for timeline rewrite: keeping position with "oldest first" reading order. There's still a lot of work to do but the new timeline is getting closer now 😊

On that note, we are very low on capacity with both dev and non-dev things. If you want to help us out please don't be afraid to reach out. We are able to compensate some work, but we need to talk about it first.

We are glad you are excited for the quote posts! They will come eventually but right now we (and I mean mostly Conny) are in the process of rewriting the timeline to be able to accommodate for quotes, it might take some time. We are only a few people who do this in our free time. We can't give you a time estimate but of course we also want it out as soon as possible. Stay tuned!

#Tusky 31 is right around the corner. This is a smaller release with some nice improvements to filtering and the scheduled status view. Tusky 32 will then be the big one with a rewrite of the timeline UI inculding supprt for quote posts. It will take a while to implement this, but trust me it will be worth it.
