We've been making the most of our week or so of summer weather in our natural #swimmingpond , cleaning it out and building some new internal stairs plus generally cooling off and snorkeling following the #fish around. They've all picked different little holes in the rock walls to live in, and have different personalities.
The native #landscaping has really come into its own this spring and summer, filling out the space nicely.
On the left in the first photo is our jumping rock, which has a sheer drop the full 1.8m depth right in front of it, as do the sandstone blocks in the distance. Behind the jumping rock is a shallow ledge where lots of fish love to live amongst the #aquatic #plants.
The #ecosystem and #wetland filtration system (second photo) are working well now to naturally filter the fresh water without the need for chlorine or salt.
