Did you know our artistic director and founder has been a huge train fan all his life? (His actual first words ever were "choo-choo"!)

Yesterday, he caught the historic Big Boy No. 4014, the world's largest operating steam locomotive, as it passed through the campus of our troupe's alma mater, Case Western Reserve University, on its journey to the East Coast as part of the United States 250th birthday. The return trip brings it back through Ohio next month, passing through Cleveland again on Monday, July 13 with a bigger event in Fostoria, OH the next day.

But we're hoping to catch Big Boy's stop in Struthers, OH on July 12 on the way to a storage locker run to prep for our upcoming shows at Pennsic later that month!

[P] I can never get over that no one knows that the opening music of the original PSX Final Fantasy VII—it's called Bombing Mission, I think—is supposed to invoke the esssence of a steam train. The main rhythm is that of a steam train going over tracks, it bas the grinding metal squeal of a train's brakes being hit as part of the music, and there's even a telltale toot-toot in there!
