If you struggle with water entering your nose while swimming, stop "humming" underwater. The "M" sound keeps your soft palate relaxed and your nasal passage open.

Instead, practice the "K" or "G" sound (Velar stops). This manually lifts the soft palate and creates a watertight seal from the inside, removing the need for nose clips.

Unfortunately construction work within the building took down the power in the locker room which meant no #sauna for this visit. It is not looking like I will get back to the pool until Sunday after a 10k race on Saturday. I am always looking forward to that next sauna.
