What is your favorite type of weather environment for a game? Mine has always been winter. When I was just a wee lad, I would pretend I was a video game character whenever it was snowing 🤣🤣🤷‍♂️

Slowly been chipping away at multiplayer logic 🎮🎮

As you can see there are some things missing. I also need to add the concept of each player having their own 'team'.

What do you guys think of my new tank? I tried to make it match my sci-fi theme, but grounded to reality. I still need to nail down the color patterns and add detailing.

I normally don't share draft art (or concept art? Whatever you call it). This is my first attempt at an infantry unit for my #rts. Not terrible, but it needs many more iterations.

Local multiplayer is working! 🤯🎮🎮

I cleaned up the dynamic pathfinding a bit. Theres no lag at all even on a very large map now

Weather patterns ❄️☀️🌧️🌇

Nailing down some environmental effects early on will help drive some of the level design.

I updated my generator to instead be a 'reactor'. Love the look of it!

*edit: I very recently learned that the lava has no business being in a reactor. But I also like the look of lava, so 🤷‍♂️

@TheDevBlog reactor towers are cooling towers though and dont contain fire 😅
@Fishrock hahaha uh oh. Reactor just sounds cool. Any other ideas??
@TheDevBlog just make the effect from the cooling towers though be steam instead
@Fishrock Yeah that definitely makes more sense. But I really like the look of the lava lol
@TheDevBlog I’d put the lava in the generator-y part somehow maybe
@Fishrock yeah I could. I'm not a huge fan of that model though. I doubt I will keep it. Maybe I could still call it a generator? 🤔
@TheDevBlog I mean in a model closer to the current model.
@TheDevBlog sorry for my non existent graphical skills
@Fishrock ohhh I see what you mean. That's a good idea. I'll toy around with it. Maybe I'll just screenshot and use what you have here 😂
@TheDevBlog I like the look, and not just because it feels like the setup for the "i made a new way to generate energy / is it new or steam / it's steam" donnie darko meme
@TheDevBlog a cooling tower full of lava
@JennyFluff @TheDevBlog if the reactor is cooled with Lava, can you imagine how hot the reactor is?!
@flq @JennyFluff maybe I will still call it a generator then? 🤔
@JennyFluff @TheDevBlog Maybe it's a molten salt reactor?
@TheDevBlog is that cooling tower filled with lava?
@BattleOfHill70 it's cooling the lava!!!
@TheDevBlog Nice, a geothermal heat exchanger.
