TLDR; Wearing a mask won't alone eradicate #COVID but the more you do it, the more spaces you help make accessible to everyone, especially higher risk people. We can't accept excluding people from society indefinitely. Even if you only do it sometimes, wearing a mask is worth it.

b) climate politics is mired in partisan manoeuvring & infighting
👉 We call for 3 things:
1) Limited pollution: a transparent commitment to a CO2 budget
2) Justice: no self-serving CO2 budget, it has to be internationally fair
3) Responsibility: exceeding it raises liabilities for losses & damage
👉 needs coalitions across society & party lines

COVID, Vulnerability, and the Death of Solidarity: “Who Do We Not Save?” - Journal of Bioethical Inquiry
Solidarity between more and less vulnerable groups is fundamental to an effective public health response to a global pandemic. Yet in the case of COVID-19, a focus on deciding who can and who cannot be protected from harm has shaped the pandemic experience and continues to determine the post-pandemic trajectory of life with SARS-CoV-2. In this paper I discuss how this has affected our understanding and acceptance of solidarity.
