What I’ve learned from my two days on #mastodon

- More hashtags, the better
- Click the 🔁 If you want the post to show up on your friends feeds
- To 🔍 for your med-specific emoji just click on the 😃 OR you can write out the word flanked by “:”
- ANYONE can get the  per 3rd point above).
- The community here so far is cool (and growing!)
- You can change the setting of how you want your posts/responses to pop up on other feeds

For folks not on the @med-mastodon.com server, are you planning to migrate? Just so that the "local server" content has people, you may want to follow. Or track them differently? But personal posts also won't show up to #MedMastodon folks then. Contemplating migration early as posts get lost (even if the following/follower list migrates)

@bezzina have been watching this #MedMastodon growth over the past week, and @nick's excellent work.

Med-mastodon server has 3.58K users so far (the hashtag probably has more, including those on other servers).
If we guess 5K users, I'm fairly sure that's less than 0.25% of the HCPs on Twitter.

So I'd say the early adopters are not here yet. We're the innovators, the pioneers - which I think is reflected to some extent in the current feel of the community.

Wow! We're growing at an incredible pace - we've doubled yet again with over 4,000 members. Excited to see many familiar #medtwitter faces & to meet new people.

Over the last 24 hours, several people noticed that things were running a little s l o w e r.
