I still block all real estate agents.

Here for #AbLeg #ABpoli #cdnpoli and [fill in your city, province, or northern territory] ...poli.

Currently in Absurdastan, Alabama North, Canada.

When you were busy preparing for the Canada Day weekend, Ontario's #Conservative government reversed a decades-long ban on penned hunting areas and will now allow captive coyotes, foxes, & rabbits to be used as live bait & torn apart by hunting dogs.

Ontario Will Let Captive Coyotes Be Attacked by Dogs in Penned Dog Hunting Ban Reversal

Animals and public safety will be sacrificed to appease bloodsport hunters.

I phoned Mum. She admitted her and my uncle had both stopped wearing masks, gone out to a shopping centre, and caught #Covid

She'd avoided telling me, because I'd told them both so many times to keep masking. They are wearing masks again now.

They're both "fine", but how many years did that mistake cost? Have we lost 5 years with my mother? 10?

When you choose not to wear a mask in public, you tell other people like my mother it's safe to do the same.

Hi, I have a chronic illness which means I can only work part time. I also have some mental health conditions and also currently a long covid lung issue. This made my Twitter community all the more important to me because I am often home alone and there were many others there in similar situations and it was good for company and support. If you are home a lot for similar reasons (or different ones) please say hi! #chronicilless #fibromyalgia #LongCovid #anxiety #ptsd

Does anyone know how to move from one extension to another?

I'd like to get to the Canadian one.

So, a .ca and not this one.

🤔

Heloooo
Is there anybody *in* there...
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone home?

Yeah, this is me still learning. I feel like all my twitter pals, the real names and pseudo's are vanished.

Has me feel a little sad, tbh.

I think this is the dumbest proposed law I have ever heard of. It’s playing pretend.

Lunocracy: rule by loons.

The bill would "enable [the government of Alberta] to deem federal laws unconstitutional, allow it to make unilateral changes to provincial legislation, and direct provincial entities to ignore “harmful” federal policies."

Danielle Smith’s Alberta ‘sovereignty’ act introduces sweeping new powers to resist Ottawa

The bill introduced Tuesday would let the cabinet order entities connected to the provincial government to ignore federal rules, but the new Alberta Sovereignty within a United Canada Act been a lightning rod for criticism.

I love it in here. There's currently a hashtag named #thicktrunktuesday that is basically pics of massive, beautiful trees.
I humbly submit El Tule, an incredible ahuehuete from the state I was born, Oaxaca. It's over 2000 years old. "Tule" means "Tree of Enlightment" #Oaxaca #Mexico #ElTule It has the thickest trunk in the world.

More than 1,000 people of all ages stood in line to get the polio vaccine outside an emergency immunization clinic in Norwich, Ontario on Aug. 3, 1978
Three residents in the community were suspected of contracting polio & residents wanted to be safe than sorry

APOD: 2022 November 21 - The Butterfly Nebula from Hubble

A different astronomy and space science related image is featured each day, along with a brief explanation.

I bet you’ve heard of Galileo & Hubble, but what about Henrietta Swan Leavitt?

Leavitt changed astronomy. She figured out new ways to measure a star’s distance from Earth & her work helped determine the universe is expanding.

Her boss, Edward Pickering, published her findings UNDER HIS NAME. Later, Shapley used her findings to determine distances around the Milky Way w/o credit.

Leavitt’s work is still used today. Next time you hear about famous men in #science share her story. #HistoryRemix
