I've used the "Snowflake method" of plotting since starting my second novel. Check it out here if you're not familiar: https://www.advancedfictionwriting.com/articles/snowflake-method/
It doesn't work for everyone, but it's a natural fit for me. Reopening Scrivener, I'm reminded that I've completed steps 1 through 4. That last step - the 1-page summary of the entire novel - needs adjusting to take account of the ideas I had for books #5 and #6 while on holiday. I may need to include some foreshadowing.
But for #today and the next few days it'll be all about Step 5 - the expansion of the 1-paragraph summaries of the stories for each character into a detailed beat sheet for their arcs during this book.
I'm going in!
