#ScribesAndMakers 4/9. Our next featured creator is a professor. Does any of your work involve professors and/or universities?

Um, no.

But there is a school teacher in MONSTERS, she's ... complicated.

#WritersCoffeeClub 4/9. What is your favourite way to introduce a character's appearance?

By not doing it. I only describe distinctive features if they are relevant to the story in which case it's as subtle as possible.

The only exception is if I'm writing something romance or romance-adjacent because it's a requirement. In this case I'll just be blunt about it - I never do the mirror trick.

Except for Veronica. It was absolutely essential the reader understand her physical deformity from the start so I did use the mirror thing right there, on the first page. Intentionally.

I'm so naughty.

I often like to wander down memory lane when it comes to old video games. I was lucky enough to live through the golden age of the SNES and PS1 and got to see a lot of cool stuff that the Young People of today don't know about, and even established folk don't seem to know about some of the more esoteric titles I've got. Sometimes it's just fun to babble about some game series as well, as evidenced by the series I did before on Metal Max. I want to write more series like that, on games of my past, both well known, unknown, and everywhere in between.
I've several articles already half-written, but my big problem is that I do not know how to get that out there. Let's face it. Mastodon is really nice, I don't have to deal with trolls much if at all, but exposure and discoverability can be hit or miss. So I ask the world at large - what would recommendations be on getting this stuff out there? I don't really have my own webspace and maintaining one is a bit beyond my energy outlay at this point. Suggestions?

#PennedPossibilities 980 — Have you ever had your work plagiarized or stolen?

Believe it or not, I actually have. A few times too, but it’s thankfully been years since any of that happened to me. Let’s hope it never happens again, shall we? There isn’t a worse feeling of helplessness, rage, and fury.
