The city must file charges (or drop the cases) by tomorrow evening.
The judge says they will possibly set bail today or release people on "personal recognizance".
The judge should begin bringing in our comrades in as we speak.

I continue to watch some journalists be allowed in specifically while other independent outlets are denied.
I and many others saw them deny Seattle Gay News entry and literally minutes later wave King 5 and Fox13 right on in without checking any press badges.
It appears the size of the camera and the stature of the reporter is what they are checking.
I've returned with a press pass.
The cops seem not to recognize it, I mean I know cops can't fly but I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt on reading skills.

Update - another two conrades were released without bail but may still be charged. The city attempted to set a $10k bail for one of them but thankfully the judge denied.
So we have four comrades coming home later tonight and we're still waiting on word on up to six.
More mostly good news, we're now at 7 total who will be released without bail. 5 of those will likely still faces charges.
However an 8th person had initial bail set at $100k, it's been reduced to $20k after a ba k and forth between their defense and the judge. (Update, bail is being posted as we toot, will be out tonight or tomorrow)
I believe existing bail funds should be able to handle it but will update as we learn more.
One of the people who was released without bail the city tried really hard to keep them in jail because they allegedly broke a cops finger.
Speaking to people who were on the ground at the time its seems this person was punched in the head by an SPD officer, which is how the cop's finger was broken 🫠
So obviously we think a lot of the people who will be back in court will handily beat the charges.

While I was at court watch yesterday I spoke to people who were witnesses to the arrest of this man below.
His only crime was walking through Cal Anderson on his way to a hair cut. Multiple people at court watch witnessed him get randomly tackled so hard he had to eventually be taken to the hospital.
This type of "wrong place, wrong time" police beat down is EXACTLY what made 2020 protests grow.

The same fascists who brought their church of hate to Cal Anderson over the weekend are expected to have a small protest / press conference on the steps of city hall tonight to rail against Seattle's Bruce Harrell for not beating the gayborhood enough on saturday.
They also already have secured a permit for an upcoming repeat event at the exact same park in later this year in August.
So now the fascists say they will be protesting Bruce Harrell tonight.

Today's official business is to discuss a proclamation against "hate" "all hate" in response to the events at Cal Anderson on May 24th.
They essentially wrote a both sides proclamation without acknowledging that the cops started a cop riot. They say they support the LGBTQ community but keep saying things that seem to call out "troublemakers" who "infiltrated" a "peaceful protest".

Here's footage of the first few arrests. Local fascists streamer Jonathan Choe and another live streamer SquidTips get into an argument. A man standing nearby is struck unprovoked or in error by Choe with a baton. The man moves to defend himself and Choe cries that the man should be arrested, and he is.
The cops then also arrest another man at random. He seems extremely confused by the whole situation and says he wasn't involved.

The city didn't allow them to hold their event in a location on Pike st where there wasn't room. The church says, that was one point of bias 🙃
