Saw a headline about how "San Francisco feels 'post-apocalyptic'" and started to worry, but then I saw it was Elon Musk saying it. Screw that guy; I don't believe anything just because *he* claims it.
Let me know when anyone whose word is worth listening to says something about San Francisco.
1/9 This is another (shorter) story about an old friend and mentor of mine, Gary G. The first story was a mega-thread, here: https://mindly.social/@cazabon/109402544976095600 This one will be shorter, but you may have guessed I tend to tell longer stories, rather than ones that fit in 500 characters. So I wrote a special-purpose Mastodon client to make posting these threads easier.
As one does.
1/53 I've been thinking about an old friend lately, and want to tell a story about him. Well, more like I want to publicly reminisce and perhaps one day someone else who knew him, or knows him, will find this. He moved back and forth from his farm near Loon Lake, Saskatchewan, but the times I was around him were those intervals when he was living in Regina, as I was.
