I'm looking for a service like #TransferWise that allows me to hold multiple currencies and receive payments in USD to a local bank account. But it also has to allow:

- adult content / erotica
- identity verification using European eID
- human customer support

I have looked at #Revolut but they don't seem to offer eID verification nor adult content.

If you’re still using Wise (aka #TransferWise) for transferring funds or banking, now’s a great time to stop giving money to Peter Thiel.

@Camlarsch Jeg har brugt #Wise — født #TransferWise — i årevis og synes det fungerer supergodt.

Var det mon #Wero (som ganske vist er europæisk, men som har yderst begrænset udbredelse) du tænkte på?

Wero - European payment solution

Experience fast and secure digital payments with Wero’s wallet, enabling you to send and receive money between bank accounts in under 10 seconds.

Wenn der Spieltrieb siegt. 😅

Spannend.

Something I think Wise does really well is that you can associate multiple physical and virtual cards with your account and fine grain how they can be used. This one for example can only be used with chip and pin. Any attempt at payments online, with the mag stripe or contactless would fail. It also cannot be added to Google or Apple Pay and used there.

Unless you steal my physical card and know my PIN, you are not getting anywhere. More banks should offer this.

So, I've had an account with #Wise (formerly #transferwise) for a few years.
Saved me lots of money, especially while living in the UK where banks take unbelievable cuts from interntional bank transfers, but also since I left that island.

Initially, they seemed cool enough people, but the ampunt of data they demand "for security" has been increasing a lot, and now I find myself
in a really unpleasant situation:

Install their app or lose access to my money.

...is that even legal?

The only reason why #Monero  isn't seen as irredeemable #Shitcoin by be (unlike #Ethereum & #Bitcoin  ) is because it kinda does #UNIX-esque #KissPrinciple and does one thing only but good:

Transfer #XMR privately, relatively fast, at low fees.

In that regard it competes with (Instant-) #SEPA, #WesternUnion, #SMSpayment #TransferWise, #CashApp, #Venmo, #SofortÜberweisung, #PayPal (and as #PaperWallet: #Paysafecard).

Eh. Anyone here using #GnuCash with #TransferWise #CSV export? Someone brilliant decided to have both incoming and outgoing transfers marked with a positive value, and have a separate text field describing them as "IN" or "OUT". Instead of, you know, a +/- sign.

#Wise has done a rebrand in vomit green. When a company does this I always wonder, was it because the marketing/design departments had too much time on their hands or there are now raging battles at the exec level and someone needs to claim a success.
