This time the reference is to the new electric Ferrari Luce, presented yesterday morning to the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella. The launch, following the presentation, led to a significant loss on the stock market, just over 6%. Technically, the vehicle delivers a total power of 1,050 hp thanks to four independent motors, one for each wheel of the vehicle. The 122 kWh 800V battery guarantees a declared range of 530 km. The 0-100 km/h sprint is covered in 2.5 seconds, 0-200 in 6.8 seconds, while the top speed exceeds 310 km/h. The vehicle will be sold at a list price of €550,000 and the first deliveries are expected for the end of 2026. The starting price is “well above that of the most expensive model currently in the Ferrari range (Testarossa at €460,000) and significantly higher than the average selling price of Ferrari for the first quarter of 2026, which is €453,000. We predict that the Luce will remain a niche offer within the range, representing about 1% of total volumes,” explained analysts at Mediobanca.
In addition to the price and niche positioning theme, some analysts also highlight the issue of design, which deviates from the traditional canons of the Prancing Horse. Bloomberg reported the observations of Oddo Bhf analysts, according to which the initial reactions “were largely negative among the most passionate Ferrari fans, due to concerns about the departure from the brand’s tradition.”
John Elkann, however, holds a different opinion, stating: “Ferrari Luce is a car of the future, and uniquely Ferrari. Luce reaffirms what has always characterized this company: the courage to redefine the limits of the possible. Ferrari Luce required a new creative perspective.
