Today I decided to tackle the clutter around my place. As you may imagine, since I couldn’t walk for such a long time, the piles of stuff were getting to be a lot.
It felt good to do something I could finally do and had control over unlike my trauma. Organizing is something I enjoy so it was quite satisfying.
A place for everything and everything in its place.

I’m not used to being on my feet so much so sloth mode begins soon.
I’m *so close* to being finished with today’s adulting. My feet would prefer for me to sit for a bit before putting the cooled-down containers of curry in the fridge.

My back’s not happy. I have a lower back injury from 2000 that has been acting up since I started wearing the boot for my right stress fracture.
I’ve finished my foot rehab exercises so now I’m lying on my bed with my legs up the wall to ease my back.
I’ll make my way to the convalescing couch that has a heating pad already turned on in preparation.
I see the orthopedic doctor in 10 days so hopefully my foot is healed by then.

Today I’ve been cleaning up. Mostly organizing and breaking down boxes but also getting rid of expired food. I do this every New Year’s Eve.
I say I’m not superstitious but my mom is and I grew up with her superstitions.
The last time I cleaned on New Year’s Day, she told me I washed away all the year’s luck. I think that was in 1994.

Anyway, adulting is almost done for the day so that means it’s almost time to engage sloth mode.

My bed has fresh bedding. I’m now resting with my feet elevated on my convalescing couch. Tunes are playing. All is right in my apartment.

I took something to help me sleep last night since I hadn’t been sleeping well. I had today off so was finally able to sleep in.
My retired boss called before I woke up. When I called her back, we talked for half an hour. She has had a busy first week of retirement as she has family visiting from overseas next week.
I then submitted items to my personal health spending account + submitted some extended health claims.
Sloth mode now engaged
