My back’s not happy. I have a lower back injury from 2000 that has been acting up since I started wearing the boot for my right stress fracture.
I’ve finished my foot rehab exercises so now I’m lying on my bed with my legs up the wall to ease my back.
I’ll make my way to the convalescing couch that has a heating pad already turned on in preparation.
I see the orthopedic doctor in 10 days so hopefully my foot is healed by then.

Laundry has been hung with care.
My bed has fresh bedding. I’m now resting with my feet elevated on my convalescing couch. Tunes are playing. All is right in my apartment.

Today is day 8 of my 18-day resting and healing vacation. I’m partway through my adulting for the day. Taking a break to sit since there has been more standing/walking than I can handle.
I cannot wait to be one with the convalescing couch.

Convalescing is no fun. But at least I have a convalescing couch.

I do not enjoy seeing my Frankenfoot while changing the bandage daily. Looking forward to a time when it looks less scary.
Back to the convalescing couch.
I set myself up on my convalescing couch before calling my mom. Yes, I have a convalescing couch. It’s the couch I rarely use except when recovering from various injuries/procedures. I cannot watch the TV from this couch so I have my laptop to keep me entertained.
I’m wearing a hoodie with a kangaroo pocket to store things.
There are many cushions to prop me up and support my foot.
