This modification seems to be specifically made for the #Netherlands where you pay less tax for vans, station wagons and half-buses where like half of the space is dedicated for cargo. Usually this is achieved by a higher roof.

Then, sadly, I rented each of them seperately for a few days. Someone even stopped in a parking lot, sporting a huge grin of delight, to ask us if the HHR was any good.
Compared to the 2003 VW Golf we owned at the time they were truly horrendous little cars in every way possible. At least, that was my assessment.

I'd been scratching my head as to what to pick for this week's car from a small island but this thread decided for me.
Clearly *not* adored for some considerable time, this week's offering from #AlderneyCars is a compact hearse, pictured in 2023 at #Alderney airport.
It wasn't always there, so it's clearly still capable of some sort of movement.

As it drove away it just looks so much smaller than it did back in the early 2Ks because everything else around it now is huge.
