I love this story – not just because "out of a failure, success happened".

but also because EVs are getting more popular, and its market nowadays is pretty much a form of oligopoly between Chinese EVs & Tesla that collects data on drivers & passengers, and renders the car useless if no software updates provided.

this status quo is unsustainable and has to be changed, hopefully this is first step.
